Ownership by Association

This ‘ownership’ is a connection you feel to something or someone based on a simple exchange. A crossing of paths, comment in passing, or random shared experience. That encounter becomes an object of emotional permanence.

My good friend and fellow author, Kristin Oakley, is releasing her long-anticipated young adult dystopian novel, The Devil Particle, June 6, 2023 with a book release party at Mystery to Me, Madison, June 7, but you can pre-order TODAY on Kindle for only 99 cents! Click here.

I am ALWAYS proud of my friends and fellow authors when they release a new publication, but this particular title hits closer to home because I’ve been around since its inception. Way back when, Kristin was a member of The Prompt Club, a group of writers who met once a month and focused on short stories based on a shared prompt. The short story that grew into her four-book series began in that group.

Did I inspire The Devil Particle? No. Did I write The Devil Particle? No. Did I contribute to its development? No more than any other reader/critiquer. But, I’m telling you, in my head and heart, this is my story, too. I am SO PROUD to have been a part of Paul’s origin. I can’t wait to see how popular this series grows. Humble beginnings, perhaps, but HUGE potential, for sure.

Thank you, Kristin, for allowing me to be a part of your literary journey.
