3 Sentence Review: TV – Mrs. Davis

  1. The 8-episode series, Mrs. Davis, is a crazy mish-mash of spirituality, symbolism, religion, artificial intelligence, and humor that shocks frequently, confounds often, offers belly laughs on occasion, yet ultimately works.
  2. I could tell you a bunch of specific things about this show and be practically spoiler-free, like the main character is a nun who has a carnal relationship with Jesus, there are cowboys and magicians, the title AI has created a peaceful world–or has she–by giving everyone pretty much everything they want, British Knights athletic shoes and Buffalo Wild Wings are featured (!), and there is a euthanasia roller-coaster, but you would still have no clue what it’s about.
  3. I want to recommend this show, I really do, but honestly, it’s so weird, even though I thoroughly enjoyed it, it can’t be for everyone, so venture at your own risk.
