WHAT DAY IS IT?!

Memorial Day is like the Wednesday of seasons. Halfway between School ending and Summer beginning.

Some have completed the school year. Others are eagerly counting down the days–of which this one delays the finality. But the end is near…and soon, summer will commence.

It’s a gorgeous, warm, sunny day here in Northern Illinois. Too bad the pool is not ready for human consumption. Surely next week, when the temps will dip into the 60’s. I’m kidding, I haven’t checked the forecast. It’s just, that seems to be how it goes. Insert Laugh out Loud here.

For many, they have the day off of work. And school.
For many others, because, let’s be real here, there are a LOT of people, they go to work like any other Monday. For which I am grateful because I need groceries.

Regardless of your commitments, or because of them, enjoy the day.
Celebrate safely. Take a moment to remember why this day is important.
Spoiler: It’s NOT due to being observed between school and summer, but that does make for a fun comparison.
