When you have the opportunity to spend a day with friends you rarely see and it involves an early morning meet on the day that you usually (pretty reliably) blog, well, you have to consider your priorities.
Friendship totally trumps the Monday missives.
So the Monday Blog has become the Tuesday priority.
Now, blogging is not my “career” (I wish someone would pay me to express my opinion or insight once a week!) but I do aspire to be a professional writer.
I’m guessing maybe I should make finishing, editing, and submitting something a priority?
Can’t blame a body for occasionally off-roading!
No, no, you’re right…
Saying it’s a priority, but doing everything else (under the sun and even other stuff on rainy days and at night times, too), implies otherwise.
I need to approach my novelling with the same dedication as my blogging… and my friendships. I’ve exhausted another year with failed goals, false promises and unfocused actions.
I guess my “bigger yes”ses are Relationships, Hobbies, and (embarrassingly) Stuff. But you know what, whining aside, I’m okay with that. I think I prioritize just fine.
Yep.
