A Body in Motion…

Newton’s third law of motion states, “A body in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted on by an outside force.”

But also–
A body not in motion tends to stay there, too.
Lethargy begets hebetude begets apathy begets slothfulness.
Talk to me in February after a long, dark, dreary winter.
Or, you know, after too many family deaths too close together.

Today I believe that a MIND in MOTION also tends to stay in motion!
Speaking creatively for myself, but I’m sure others can relate through Sudoku, Words with Friends, and other mind stimulating apps.

I’m proud to say that after a mind-numbingly lax period, I’m back, baby.
It’s been eight exhausting and motionless months, but I feel better and more importantly, I’m in a creative place. (Stay tuned for big announcements!)

I had pretty much written off 2019*, but things are coming together. There’s a chance for salvation! I mentioned this to a friend who optimistically told me, there’s a THIRD of the year left. OMG! Four months! I can get shit done with FOUR MONTHS.

My mind is in motion and I’m hoping to keep it swinging.

About Mary Fran Says

I am an artist, crafter, designer and writer. I enjoy working with mixed media-- applying visual and tactile manipulations to telling a story. Not a lot of market for that, though, :), so I'm focusing on short story submissions and novel completions. Yes, plural. Lots of beginnings, too many ideas, not enough focus.
