5 Best Gifts this Season

The older we get, the harder we are to buy for. With so much discretionary income, zero impulse control, and Amazon, we buy what we want when we want it, leaving gift-givers in the lurch.

I’ve collected a list of items for your friends and family who have everything…else.

1. For your pet loving friends:

Pooch Selfie smart phone attachment.

Who doesn’t need to keep their pet’s attention while snapping that bathroom pic?

2. For your Christmas decoration loving friends:

Christmas Lights charging cable.

This is assuming, of course, that if one bulb goes out, your electronics still keep charging…

3. For your book loving friends:

100 Essential Novels Scratch-off Chart.

It’s a hard copy inventory of your Kindle books.

4. For your drinking buddies:

Magnetic bottle holder for the fridge.

Only 6 to a pack? My buddies are going to need these by the case.

5. For me:

A Stairba–Roomba for stairs!*

*This item does not yet exist, but when it does, I want one! I need something that vacuums stairs efficiently. Think about it, I have corgis…exceptionally furry short-legged dogs who drag their bellies on each and every step. Going up and down.

I believe the Stairba will need to be box-shaped, not round, and have suction capabilities on multiple sides. It will move from one side of each step to the other, vacuuming with the bottom, then switch suctions and reverse it’s path, suctioning the back. It will then need to climb up (or down) to the next step and repeat the process. Seems TOTALLY possible for Christmas ’18.

Of course, I do write science fiction…

About Mary Fran Says

I am an artist, crafter, designer and writer. I enjoy working with mixed media-- applying visual and tactile manipulations to telling a story. Not a lot of market for that, though, :), so I'm focusing on short story submissions and novel completions. Yes, plural. Lots of beginnings, too many ideas, not enough focus.
